Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most commonly asked questions we receive from clients. We trust these answers provide you with relevant information needed to make an informed decision about your financial planning needs.

Financial planning is the process of developing a roadmap to help you achieve your financial goals. This roadmap will help you evaluate your current financial situation, identify your goals, and develop a plan of action to achieve those goals.

For complete transparency, we offer two service paths:

Ongoing support: We charge $1,100 (inclusive of GST) for the Statement of Advice to lay the foundations. This is discounted from our standard rate noted below.
If it is deemed to be of value, we charge an annual service fee on investment portfolios of 0.88% (inclusive of GST) up to $1,000,000, plus 0.33% (inclusive of GST) on amounts in excess of $1,000,000.
This is deemed to be reasonable in the industry, where other advice practices commonly charge 1.10% per annum for ongoing support.

One-off advice: Where ongoing support is not required, we simply charge a standard rate of $3,300 (inclusive of GST).
The average advice practice will typically charge anywhere between $3,300 to $6,600, whereas some practices are charging up to $16,500 for the Statement of Advice.

We commonly get asked, why are your Statement of Advice fees less than others in the industry? Are we going to be getting bad advice?
Well, it is simple, we find most clients have not previously received a Statement of Advice and therefore do not know what to expect.
We want to give ourselves the best shot at proving to you there is value in seeking financial advice and want to minimise the friction involved when improving your financial situation.
